Running Accomplishments:

Ancient history but was a 2:03 half miler in high school in the 1970s that remembers Shorter winning in Munich, Prefontaine dying, and Jimmy Carter boycotting the Moscow Olympics.  I rediscovered running in my early 40s with a self trained 3:25 marathon in Luxor Egypt in 2003.  Since then I have completed 24 marathons including 8 in Boston with a PB of 3:15:29 in 2008.  Last year I ran two marathons, 3:25 at Presque Isle and 3:28 in Boston.  My slowest marathon to date is a 3:43 in New York in 2014.

Short-Term Running Goals:

I would be happy to slow the march of time and return to the 3:20 pace group.

Long-Term Running Goals:

Run Boston in 2016 and 2017 to finish 10 runnings and continue running into my 60s.

Welcome! Good to see another Texan on here. There are a few of us scattered around.

10 Bostons is a pretty cool goal.

Welcome to the blog, hope you enjoy it. (Another Texan here.)
